Legal Update - Georgia Legislature Enacts Transfer on Death Deeds for Real Estate
The Georgia Legislature has passed new laws in 2024 providing for the use of Transfer on Death property deeds for the first time in Georgia. The new laws, effective July 1, 2024, provide a new estate planning tool that may be a very good fit for many families as part of their overall estate plan.
